Celluloid Bachelor #46: Field Music "Them That Do Nothing"

In an era where most everything is tricked out, distorted, and noodled to within a shade or two of Phish, I never fail to be rejuventated when I hear something simple and poppy. Such was the case with today's edition of Celluloid Bachelor, a track by Field Music (formerly called The Week That Was) called "Them That Do Nothing."

In addition to the sprightly pop, I love the video's visual goofiness, from the high-fives to the crossword puzzle effects. Sadly, as the duo from Sunderland (England) makes a much-anticipated return trip to the states this spring, Cleveland won't be on their itinerary; the closest they come will be Ann Arbor. Looks like we'll just have to make do with falling for their new record, a twenty-track double effort titled Field Music (Measure), due out February 16th on Memphis Industries.
