In rememberance of his passing, this Celluloid Bachelor post is dedicated to the late great Teddy P. "Love T.K.O." is one of his biggest hits. When I was in grad school, my best friend and I had a band that was in the process of working up what we called our Teddy Pendergrass Medley, with four songs that, taken together, chronicled the rise and fall of a relationship. "Love T.K.O" was the finale. Given that, bringing you this video of Teddy performing the song on Soul Train in 1980 seems an appropriate way to send him off.
