Two of the three dominant legs of Cleveland's edgy gallery scene are having shows tonight.
At William Rupnik Gallery, you can check out "Oh, That is Sooooo Last Year." The show marks the first group exhibition for the gallery, and features an assemblage of recent and not-so-recent paintings, illustrations and installations... a pastiche of styles, interpretations and techniques by our most profound emerging and established artists. This sensational display is a one-night only event, so don't miss out on acquiring an assortment of fresh, new and old works!
Participating artists include Ron Copeland, Scorpio Diamante, Steve Ehret, Mallorie Freeman, Andrea Heimer, Derek Hess, Ales BASK Hostomsky, Ryan Jaenke, Beth Kappa, Alex Kelly, Chris Miles, Matt Ocasio, Dana Oldfather, Bob Peck, Arabella Proffer, Paul Rogers, William Rupnik, John Ryan, Chris Ryniak, Cleveland SGS, Matt Sharp and Paul Sydorenko.
In the meantime, Low Life Gallery is opening this month's exhibition, Cannabilicious, featuring the work of Lacey Petrovich. Expect the work to be risky and risque, and definitely for adults. Should you hit this show, take a walk down the block to Music Saves where the Afternoon Naps are having a listening party for their forthcoming album. BYOB and say hey to CB fave Leia Alligator while you are there!
