Best Pancakes in Cleveland?

Help! I owe someone pancakes and they refuse to accept my suggestion of IHOP. (Probably for the best.)

Anyone have the scoop on the best pancakes in Cleveland?

I am partial to First Watch pancakes, but Original Pancake House in Eton is also a good choice. Lucky's Cafe in Tremont also serves Lemon Pancakes topped with a warm summer berry compote, honey whipped cream and house-made black currant caramel sauce on Saturday and Sunday for their brunch.

Lucky's and Vine & Bean on Larchmere are both great, so is Tommy's on Coventry.

Waterstreet Grill downtown on W9th used to have some fantastic banana walnut pancakes on its menu.

My favorite pancakes ever are the ones at Inn on Coventry. Lemon ricotta! Peanut butter chip! Orange whole wheat!

Fun fact, nothing to do with the pancakes but cool nonetheless: one of the owners' 90-something-year-old mom helps out in the kitchen there on Sundays. She is a tough and cute old lady and makes super-awesome chicken livers.

Thanks everybody, and keep them coming! I just got the following endorsement for Inn on Coventry via email from a friend:

The best pancakes in Cleveland are in Cleveland Heights at The Inn on Coventry. You have to go on Sunday though because the pancake section of the menu is more varied on Sunday than any other day. My fave choices are in no particular order: Lemon Ricotta, Orange Whole Wheat, Blues and Chews (blueberries and cashews), Sour Cream Mango (yummy although tastes nothing like sour cream or mango, Crunch Berry (granola and blueberries). They have the best!

I forgot about Inn on Coventry. Yes, they have some awesome pancakes as well. Be prepared to wait for a table, but it is worth it.

I usually don't eat pancakes until I'm desperate enough to make the trip to the Black River Cafe in Oberlin. I never regret the trip.

I haven't tried either Sweet Melissa's or Inn on Coventry. I'll definitely keep them in mind.
